By car: From Bonn/Köln/Düsseldorf:  Get onto the A 3, heading north and come off at Junction 14, Duisburg-Kaiserberg. Take the right-hand slip road towards the A40 and follow the signs towards DU-Kaiserberg. Just before joining the A40 keep right, still following the sign for DU-Kaiserberg, but at the top of the slip road turn right towards DU-Ruhrort. After going over the A40 bridge, turn left at the T-junction towards DU-Ruhrort. This road is the Ruhrdeich. Follow it for approx. one kilometre and, a short disitance before the traffic lights, turn right into the car park. You’ll see the Restaurant Marmaris up on the right. There should be plenty of parking space along the left-hand side.

By train/bus:  Plenty of train connections from Bonn/Köln/Düss. to Duisburg-Hauptbahnhof, then get the 944 bus towards “Werthacker”. There is only one bus per hour, so ensure you get the one at 14:01 h from Bahnsteig 5. To get there, walk right along one of the platforms to the far end (north) and go down the steps into the “Verknüpfungshalle”, where the bus stops are. Bahnsteig 5 is at the east side (take a compass or call up a map on your smartphone). Get off at “Ruhrau” (arr. 14:12 h), go under the motorway bridge and at the big crossroads go across to the far right-hand side (near the bridge approach) and you’ll see the car park and Marmaris restaurant.
